Just talked to Thomas for the first time in a long time! I really miss talking to him and I’m glad he felt the same. Hopefully he can make it to graduation this upcoming weekend! And good luck to him for his finals. I haven’t blogged in a while and there’s definitely a lot of things I need to talk about.

  • FANIME (5/25-26) - This year was my first time attending Fanime! Sadly I didn’t cosplay but I had a lot of fun regardless. Jennifer came with me and I’m so grateful she was there. I’m really happy that we got to spend the Saturday together. We didn’t know that we could go upstairs and further down the first hall without our badges so we wasted 3 hours waiting outside and downstairs for Katy to give us our fake badges. It was kinda frustrating but we got to see a lot of nice cosplays there. Apparently it was where most people took photos too so it all worked out well. We saw a Rock Lee and after I posed with her she was like “Stay in the springtime of youth and be sure to drink plenty of water!” I love how much she was in character!! Ahh! We also got to see a Kakashi and we literally fangirled about him, hehe. And then there was the first and second hokage too! And an Asuma! One of the second hokages were super amazing. Jennifer’s addicted to him, haha. Even found his twitter later on and everything. I got to buy a Diana t-shirt from the art gallery tent thing and Jennifer got an onigri shirt from the sales expo. It was super cute! I’m pretty satisfied with my purchase, haha. I wasn’t happy with the $6 drink I bought though. Gah, regrets. Anyway, watched karaoke afterwards and ended up staying for 7 hours. Most of the time we just took pictures though, but it was all worth it! On Sunday, Jennifer stayed home and let Michael borrow her pass. He gave me a ride and drove us and 2 other friends to the San Jose convention center. I broke off from their group cause I thought it might be a bit awkward so I walked around. Ended up buying a $6 0.03mm water pen from a stand in the sales expo selling manga drawing materials. They even had screen prints too! It was so cool and the guy selling it to me was so informed about his products, haha. The others already ate when I called so I bought a bacon wrapped hotdog for like $4. Not really worth it but hey, I got hungry. Watched karaoke, went to a few panels after seeing Jason and Alex, and saw a huge Jenga game going on. It was pretty impressive. Stage 0 had a questionnaire thing set up like Jeopardy and I was surprised I knew some of the answers. Especially when questions about animes like Ranma 1/2 went up. Ran into Vince and Brandon later on and noticed that they won prizes. I’m so jealous!! Vince went to a questionnaire thing and said that there was like a question or two about Ranma 1/2 as well as other stuff and that he had to circle the incorrect answer. Bah, if I knew what was going on, I definitely would’ve went! Brandon got a Dreamcast signed by the Pokemen and Black Ash!! Ahh! So jealous! I least I got to see them on Saturday. My picture with them was blurry though and not all of them were in it. Before leaving, I saw Kevin with the group I came with but we didn’t talk to one another. After about 9 hours Michael dropped me off and yeah. That was my Fanime experience. OH. And I found perfection in the form of Metal Gear Solid’s Raiden. The guy was so good looking in white hair, haha. I don’t follow the game but I do appreciate the amazing character designs, heh.
  • Awards Night - Dad actually came to watch! He even brought the old camera I gave to him after I upgraded to my Nikon D90! Ahh! I think that’s the most supportive he’s ever been. During the pledge of allegiance, I think I would’ve died if Alex continued to incite the words he did that night his way again. Ying and I were like LOL the entire time after we heard his voice loud and super distinct from everyone else’s. I got 4 awards and I’m pretty happy about it since I thought I only got 1 for community service.
  • Kickin’ Crab - Went to Kickin’ Crab with Jennifer, Tina, Kevin, and Luc! It’s not bad but I like Boiling Crab more. I got the flavor that’s the equivalent to the whole-shabang at BC but it tasted really lemon-y. I would’ve gotten butter garlic but I couldn’t chose mild if I got that flavor. I accidentally spilled a glass of water between Jennifer and Luc but luckily no one was sitting there! I had lots of fun and I hope that before college starts and everyone moves away to SoCal or something, we can go it again one more time.
  • Chinese Club Banquet - Only a few people went as usual. I gave Trang a bruise playing ABCD and Brandon gave me one, omg. It was fun though. Vanessa’s and Tiffany’s CAW CAW distress call was hilarious or should I say, hissssssssssssterical! I wish I brought my camera but oh well. We had a bit of remaining food, but it was pretty good. I went an hour late and I feel a bit bad but I thought it was a different day earlier on that day.. yeah.. My bad, gah! I hope next years and the following years to come will be a lot more successful because the attendance every year I’ve been to the banquet was somewhat disappointing.

Today was the AP Biology test. I forgot it was reformatted this year and wow, I’m kind of glad I didn’t study all that much. I do wish I reviewed just a tiny bit though. The FRQs were alright. I didn’t finish the MC and grid-ins since I didn’t bring a watch with me.. Also didn’t sit near a clock this test.. It was an alright test I guess. I really hope the curve is low. I think I have a decent chance of actually passing because of the FRQ portion (#6 was the only one I didn’t get) but if I fail, I know I’ll fail with a 2. Praying to the heavens that I pass all three APs but at least 2.. Calculus and Biology are real iffy for me.. Psychology should be fine. And then there’s the AWPE I hope I passed. Sigh. Anxiety.

Hello.
